FAQ
What age is it for?
Grades 5 and 6, when kids learn percentages and speed. The Percent level is percentages only, so it fits right in with fifth-grade lessons.
What changes with the level?
Percent asks "What is 20% of 300 yen?" and "10 out of 40 people is what percent?". Discounts asks about percent off and price increases. Speed and unit rate asks about speed, distance and time, and the price of one item. Prices are in Japanese yen.
Are there decimal answers?
Only Speed and unit rate has speeds that don't divide evenly (like 22.5 km/h). Use the decimal point button. All other answers are whole numbers.
What happens with a wrong answer?
There is no red X. The number entered gives a little wiggle, and math like "500 × 80 ÷ 100 = 400" is shown before the next problem. That problem still counts as wrong, and the run can no longer go on the leaderboard.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
Only a run with all 10 right can be submitted, ranked by the time to finish, fastest first. Each level has its own leaderboard. The problems change at midnight Japan time (UTC+9), and everyone gets the same 10 on the same day and level. Random practice gives new problems every time and is not recorded.
