FAQ
What are the rules of Tents and Trees?
(1) Every tree is paired with exactly one tent directly above, below, left or right of it (one tent per tree). (2) Tents never touch each other, not even diagonally. (3) The numbers outside the grid show how many tents are in that row or column. That's all three rules.
Any solving tips?
First mark as grass (no tent) every cell that isn't directly next to a tree, plus every row and column whose number is 0. If a row or column has exactly as many open cells as its number, they are all tents. After placing a tent, the 8 cells around it can be marked as grass.
Does every puzzle have only one solution?
Yes. Every puzzle is built to have a unique solution (each time a layout is made, we check that only one solution exists). You never need to guess — logic alone is enough.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
By the time from opening the puzzle to placing every tent correctly, fastest first. You only need a nickname, and you can submit up to 30 times a day per size. The server checks that your tents follow the rules.
