FAQ
How do you play Mahjong Connect (Shisen-Sho)?
Pick two identical tiles. If you can draw a line between them that doesn't cross other tiles and makes no more than two turns, they're removed. The line may run around the outside of the board. Remove every tile to clear the board.
How is it different from Shanghai (mahjong solitaire)?
In Shanghai the tiles are stacked, so only certain tiles are free to take. Shisen-Sho is a flat board, and the only condition is whether the two tiles can be connected.
What if I get stuck?
Every layout is checked by greedily removing pairs until the board is empty, but depending on the order you remove tiles you can still get stuck. Press "Finish" to record your result, or "Restart" to start over.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
By the number of tiles removed (+50 for clearing the board), highest first; ties go to the shorter time. You only need a nickname, and you can submit up to 30 times a day per size. The server verifies your moves.
