FAQ
How do you play Reversi?
Place a disc so that it traps a line of your opponent's discs — horizontally, vertically or diagonally — between it and another of your discs, and the trapped discs flip to your color. You can only play where you flip something; if you have no such move, you pass. When neither player can move, the game ends and whoever has more discs wins.
How strong is the computer?
It plays at a beginner-to-intermediate level, valuing corners and preferring moves that limit your options. Its habits change a little every day.
Do I play Black?
Yes. You play Black and move first; the computer plays White. Legal moves are shown with small dots.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
By the final disc margin (Black minus White), largest first; ties go to the shorter game time. Losses and abandoned games can't be submitted. You only need a nickname, and you can submit up to 30 times a day. The server replays your game, including the computer's replies, to verify it.
