FAQ

How do you play nonograms?

The numbers on each row and column give the lengths of the runs of filled squares in that line, in order. For example, "2 1" means two filled squares in a row, then at least one gap, then one filled square. Satisfy every row and column clue to finish the picture.

What is the X mark for?

It marks a square you've decided must stay empty. Right-click to place one (on a phone, use X mode). It doesn't count toward the answer, but it helps you keep track of your reasoning.

Can a puzzle have more than one solution?

The puzzles are made from random pictures, so occasionally more than one filling satisfies the clues. Any filling that matches every clue counts as solved.

How is the leaderboard ranked?

By the time from opening the puzzle to finishing it, fastest first. You only need a nickname, and you can submit up to 30 times a day per size. The server checks your grid against the clues.
