How do I play Whack-a-Mole?
Tap or click a mole when it pops out of a hole. You can also play with just the keyboard: pick a hole with the arrow keys and whack it with Space (or Enter).
How does scoring work?
A regular mole is worth 10 points, and the occasional golden mole 30 points. Hitting a bomb takes away 20 points (your score can go below zero). Missing costs nothing.
What's the difference between the levels?
"Normal (3×3)" has 9 holes, and the moles stay up a bit longer. "Fast (4×3)" has 12 holes, and both the gap between moles and the time they stay up are shorter. Your personal best is saved separately for each level.
Does it get faster?
Yes. Through the second half of the 30 seconds, the moles stay up for less time and pop out more often (at most twice as fast as at the start).
Why is there no leaderboard?
This site only accepts records that the server can verify by replaying your moves. In Whack-a-Mole, your reaction speed the moment a mole appears is the record itself, so it can't be verified this way, and the game is practice only. Your personal best is saved in this browser.
