FAQ
What are the rules?
Cars only move along the way they face (left and right if horizontal, up and down if vertical), and they can't jump over other cars. Slide cars out of the way and drive the red car to the exit on the right edge to win.
How are moves counted?
Sliding one car any distance is 1 move. Moving the same car several times in a row still counts as 1 move, and putting it back where it was takes it back to 0. The minimum is the fewest moves needed to solve the puzzle, found by having the computer check every possible way to move.
How do I play?
Drag a car (trace it with your finger on a phone) and it slides as far as it can go. You can also tap a car to select it, then tap an empty square in its line to move it there. On a keyboard, select a car and use the arrow keys. Undo (Z key) takes back your last move.
Is this the same puzzle as Rush Hour?
It plays the same way (a car-sliding puzzle where you shift cars in a 6×6 grid to get the red car out). The puzzles aren't copied from the cards — the computer makes a new one every day.
Is every puzzle solvable?
Yes. Starting from a random layout, we check every position the cars can reach, and only use positions that can reach the exit and whose minimum number of moves falls in the level's range.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
By moves, fewest first; ties go to the shorter time. You only need a nickname, and you can submit up to 30 times a day per level. The server replays your moves to verify them.
