How do I play Flap Bird?
Click or tap the screen, or press Space (or ↑), to flap once and rise. If you don't, the bird keeps falling, so tap in short bursts to hold your height.
How is the score counted?
You get 1 point for each pipe gap you fly through. Touch a pipe, the ground or the top of the screen and the game is over on the spot; press Restart to start again.
Can I change the difficulty?
"Easy" has wide 150px gaps and slower scrolling; "Normal" has 118px gaps and scrolls faster. Your personal best is saved separately for each level.
Any tips?
Tapping frantically once you start falling will slam you into the ceiling. Watch the height of the next gap, and tap just once whenever you dip a little below it. Remember that touching the top of the screen also ends the game.
Why is there no leaderboard?
This site only accepts records that the server can verify by replaying your moves. In an action game like this, the frame-by-frame physics is the record itself, so it can't be verified this way, and the game is practice only. Your personal best is saved in this browser.
