FAQ
What kinds of questions are there?
Three for cocktails ("Which cocktail uses these ingredients?", "What is the base spirit?", "Which cocktail looks like this?") and three for wine ("What is the main grape of this region?", "Which country is it in?", "What type of wine is it?"). Amounts and alcohol strength vary by recipe and bar, so they are never asked.
How do the "looks like this" questions work?
The glass shape and the color of the drink are drawn on the spot as simple shapes, not photos. No outside images are loaded, so it is fast and there are no rights issues.
Why can't I submit my run to the leaderboard?
A run with even one wrong answer can't be submitted. This site only accepts records the server can replay and verify, and for this quiz only a perfect set of answers counts. Even when you miss, the correct answer and a note are shown right away.
Do the questions change every day?
Yes. Everyone gets the same 10 questions each day (by Japan date). Each deck (Cocktails / Wine / Mixed) has its own set. Random practice is unlimited, but it isn't recorded.
Can I play if I don't drink?
Of course. It is a knowledge quiz, so no drinking is involved. Please drink only if you are of legal drinking age. This game is for learning, not to encourage drinking.
