How do you play 2048?
Slide all tiles up, down, left or right. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one with double the value. A new 2 (or sometimes 4) appears after every move, and the game ends when no move is possible. Your score is the sum of all merged tiles.
What does "same tile order every day" mean?
Where each new tile appears, and whether it's a 2 or a 4, comes from a random sequence fixed by the date. The same moves on the same day always produce the same board, so scores are decided by strategy rather than luck.
Can I submit a score before the game is over?
Yes. Press Finish at any time to submit your current score. You can also keep playing after reaching 2048.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
By score, highest first; ties go to the shorter time. You only need a nickname, and you can submit up to 30 times a day. The server replays your moves and recalculates the score.
